Matthew R.

Dweezil—a sincere thanks to you for making this amazing podcast. I know a lot of us are more than eager to hear the next episode, I myself have been checking daily to see if Joe’s episode has been posted.  I found myself starting to get frustrated that it’s taken so long—but then I stopped and realized that my eagerness is a testament to how amazing this podcast really is and that I am beyond grateful for what you are doing here. The Van Halen fans around the world appreciate this wholeheartedly and thank you profusely.

I know that there have been audio issues with this episode, and that you’ve got a personal life and other things going on — so while we wait, I personally am re-listening to your previously released episodes, cranking the VH on vinyl and am listening to Wax Audio’s excellent podcast episode on Van Halen, talking about the rare and unreleased tunes (highly recommended, btw).

So please, take your time...but hurry up!   Thank you so much for everything!

Hi Matthew,

Thanks so much! I appreciate your patience and your kind words. There is a lot of good stuff coming soon and I'm not just talking about the Satriani episode! Best, DZ

This series started so well.
Steve, Paul (what a greeat guy), Blues, Nuno, they were all very interesting.

I had high hopes for the 1984 episode.
I mean, 1984, 'need I say more?
Man, what a deception...

First, a 20 minutes presentation of Jennifer Batten.
Great player, but no offenses, this is not what I pay for.
And after that, Jennifer "returned the favor" by becoming a Dweezil groupie for an hour and a half.
I think 1984 deserved more than this...

Since then, I've completly lost hope.
And with more than three months since the last episode, and counting, well, what can I say.
It is indeed 5150 ($51.50???) time...

Hi Kenny,

I hear you. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the 1984 episode. I always try my best with all of my guests to bring out different perspectives about Edward Van Halen and Van Halen's musical influence on my guests. It's more challenging than people might expect and I remain open to all new possibilities to improve the experience for the listeners.

THE FIRST PRIORITY IS TO GET THE EPISODES FINISHED SOONER! Even though it may not seem like I'm focused on that from a listener's perspective, there's a lot more going on behind the scenes.

I know there has been a more than significant delay with the Satriani episode. Beyond the issues with the audio on the episode which has plagued me since we recorded it, there have been other extenuating circumstances that have also added to the delay. At least one, which at this time cannot be mentioned, will actually turn out to be quite good news for everyone but currently presents itself only as a frustrating delay. I will be very excited to share the info when I am able but for now, I can see how frustrating the wait is for all of you. I hope you'll be able to hang in there and enjoy the future episodes because there is a lot of great stuff in upcoming episodes.

Until then, I promise I'm doing my best to get the newest episode ready for prime time as well as the follow up, Andy Wood's Balance episode.

In any case, I apologize once again for the long wait.

Best, DZ

It’snow been over 3 months since the last episode. Will we see the next episode before the end of the year?

Dweezil

Yes! I'm very sorry for the delay. I've logged many hours of editing on the Satriani episode because of some sound issues. The content will be better for it. I'm in the home stretch finally! It's coming very soon.

Any updates on the Satriani episode?  Love all the episodes..  missing my fix!. Thanks

Coming very soon! Sorry for the delay!
