Tod W.

Hi, Dweezil-
I just sprang for the 5150 package. Just wanted to say thank you for doing all this. I was utterly obsessed with Edward in my high school days back in the 80s as a tadpole guitar player. Over the years, my personal music style took a a different path from VH-style rock, but I always kept a spot in my heart for Ed and the band. Since his passing I've been immersed in the tributes to him, reassessing my VH albums...basically revisiting my youth and falling in love all over again. When I heard about Runnin' With The Dweezil I knew you were the perfect guy to undertake this project. I'm just one episode in, and I'm loving it. THANK YOU for all this effort. Can't wait for the rest of the episodes (and the Helix presets). Be well, sir.

Hi Tod,

Thanks for your kind words. I'm glad you're enjoying the series. There's a lot more good stuff coming your way!

David McCain

GREAT episode with Paul Gilbert!! Love Paul! But his knowledge on VH 2 is amazing ( right down to the echoplex sound ). Really enjoying these shows. Thanks again for doing them!

Dweezil

Hey David,

Glad you're having fun with them! Blues Saraceno is my guest next week for Women And Children First!

This series gives unique and valuable insights. I know where I was when I first heard Van Halen, and how it affected me. This podcast brings me back to that moment in 1978 - that ability should speak volumes about the power herein. I knew at that moment, and upon the first listen that life for guitarists turned itself on it’s head.  I also knew I could never play like that, so I went after TONE. It’s that takeaway that I still carry to this day. Thank you Dweezil for having this idea, this vision, and the drive to make this podcast a reality.

Episode 2, 12:16-12:32 repeats the end comments on 'the last show of the tour' segment, "...we did, he sang it, and it was funny.."

Hi Tim,

Thanks, I'll check it out so I can fix it. If it is in there it's unintentional.

Dweezil

There was a glitch in the export and I was able to fix it. Thanks for catching it!

Thank you sir! Let's keep it a surprise!
