Hello Everyone,

With everyone potentially thinking of new year's resolutions at this time I thought I'd share one of mine. Every year I like to try to learn a new skill. I've been focusing some of that attention on guitar and learning about different styles like Arabic and Turkish Maqams and Southern Indian Carnatic music. These styles use micro tones and have a very cool "ancient" quality about them. I also like Balkan melodies and rhythms. These melodic concepts and rhythms have always been fascinating to me and I've been exploring some of that stuff on my new record.

I'm also excited about my truefire.com guitar course I'm preparing because I'm able to share some of this musical adventure with you. I will film the course in early 2015 and hopefully release it before the fall.

I'm still trying schedule a time and location to resume DWEEZILLA. I will keep you all posted on that as well. I will however still be doing DWEEZILLA classes on the road before soundcheck at most venues on tour. I look forward to seeing you at the shows!

Once again, Happy New Year to all of you and I wish you the best for you and your families.
