Since joining DZWorld and meeting Ken at Freekish Blues, the Coily Fuzz pedal will definately be a welcome addition to my pedalboard. Quite possibly, the new Vibe when it comes out too.
My mind is already planning a rebuild of the pedalboard. More room and nice new cables all round, I look forward to.
I started wondering whether to put the Coily Fuzz before or after the Dunlop Wah. Traditionally, I know, the wah would come first, but I googled out of curiosity........................what a can of worms. Especially the Hendrix debate.
Then I thought, "Hey. ZappaWorld would be the perfect place to get peoples opinions."
The signal line will be Strat--(wah-fuzz)or (fuzz to wah)--amp in--fx loop send--volume pedal (ala Eric Johnson swells)--2 X multiprocessors--fx loop return. The two multiprocessors are mainly used for delays, reverbs and modulation, but there is a Marshall emulator in there that I like the tone of with it's gain turned right down.
Sooooooo.................wah before or after fuzz. What do you all think? I would like to hear your opinions.
Also, some opinions on placement of a vibe pedal in the signal path would be welcome.
Ken and Dweezil. Your opinions will be especially welcome.
